"Nang!"
16/11/2007
On Tuesday, I met with young journalists from "Nang!", the magazine produced by students at the Tower Hamlets Summer University.

Subject: Engaging the young
I think its great that the Conservative party is reaching out to engage the young. Watching this video its clear that the young people involved really appreciated the fact that David Cameron was interested in what they were doing. The young people involved in this video are a shining example of the best of British youth.

Yeah right, these are teens nowhere near the bottom of the food chain. Perhaps they will be nice little conservative voters when they grow up. I'm sure you would like to get them involved with politics David but try looking below the radar.
OK, their life paths seem set. Good kids with good families, sent them to uni to get a good education. But are they an example of the bulk of kids out there? I don't think so.
Perhaps you want to give aspirations to the poorer families. I don't think the poorer families will be viewing your blog David. How can you reach them? well I'm afraid YOU can't David. It takes people who have been there to know how poor families on council estates work. David Davis might be a good one to consult.
By the way how about a review of the pistol ban.

/sure, many poorer families will not be viewing this blog - but can you really criticise 'dave' for at least trying this new medium to get through to younger voters?
