Chatting with Lord Heseltine

On Friday I was with Lord Heseltine, chairman of the Cities Taskforce, at the launch of their report - "Cities Renaissance: Creating Local Leadership". Afterwards, I sat down with him to discuss the ideas contained in the document.

Subject: COMMUNITIES WITHIN CITIES
What great news and some great ideas. Cities must be able to design their own destiny.We must also address the feeling of lack of community in our cities. In cities outside London wards do not reflect natural communities and some Councillors have to represent over 18 000 electors. Lets devolve power within cities giving local communities a real say their future development
