I am so sick of what Labour has done to this nation, however the biggest sell out so far is this signed EU treaty

David C needs to promise from the heart and secure it that the conservatives will remove us immediately from this betrayal and all dealings with Europe should be only trade as was the original idea

now is the time to promote our removal because labour have weakly, cruelly and in a fascist way denied us, the public a say and we now need a true opposition to fight for our British rights and freedoms before we are vomitably utterly ruled by Unelected European bureaucrats completely and it comes to fruition that we end up with a socialists United States of Europe, which will benefit nobody, as each individual nation will be lost to the center rulers who care not for the far reaches of their new empire

Aid us D C for now your country needs you more than ever

yes i agree Storm and i think the fact we have been refused the chance to voice of opinions is wrong. Today the EU treaty tomorrow the Euro if they are not stopped. I am not prepared to see that happen.

we were never going to get a referendum on the constitution so what makes this any different.

People need to make a point to labour that we will not have our futures played with by the current govt, we have done perfectly well for ourselves for a much longer time than even the EU trade treaties have been signed. We don't need anymore out of europe. We already get screwed, how much more will we lose through this?

There are not enough words in the English language to adequately enunciate my contempt for this Labour Government.

Today was the final straw.

They've pissed me off for the last time .... so I've decided to cast a spell and bring this government down.

uh huh, I'd noticed the conservative party has been spectacularly successful in opposition.

or perhaps you think calling GB names is going to bring down the government. LoL

GFI Astro!!!

What we need is a rebellion against the whips See if you can spark that.

My contempt is unbounded like yours. Furthermore the toad even made a bollox of the signing... bad grace and sulkiness has impressed absolutely nobody.

If the message was supposed to be "Your cosy Euro-club is not in the least important", he did it rather well. But if that really was his attitude why doesn't he simply hand the whole thing over to the people in a referendum and let them convey the same message?

If I feel aggrieved about this treaty, image what it must feel like for the French and Dutch who have already voted against the substance of this pseudo constitution only to find their governments ignore the message they conveyed.

Anyone getting the impression that democracy in Europe is an illusion?

I cannot believe that they've created a superstate with a Foreign Minister to represent us without us having been able to cast one vote either for him or the Prime Minister who signed up to it.

Still a faint hope! the Irish - who have to have a referendum will turn it down - I saw some of the Parliamentary Debate (on European Affairs) this week. Austin Mitchell made a great speech as did Hague (of course) - The government spokesmen were torn to pieces.

But when it came to the vote the simple minded followed the government whip.

Maybe the Lords offer some hope!

Has this government no shame - they clearly have no ability.
Police pay (engineered perhaps to take headlines off the EU)
Lost citizens personal data.
Failure to honor the Armed Forces covenant or in fact to equip and maintain our forces. - We have a part time Minister of Defence.
Closing Hospitals, refusing essential medication in fact demoralizing and wrecking the NHS
Dismantling on our constitution and rights.
Failure to control immigration.
Destruction of what was probably the finest pension system in the world.
Giving away (or at least selling at a loss) our gold reserves.
Failing to reduce the countries dept in a period of strong economic growth.
And On and on and on!!

Where the hell is the media - its quick enough to castigate any poor MP caught in the wrong bed.
But these issues are resigning matters, and could in some cases be considered treason.

I think its time for a vote of no confidence in the government they are supposed to represent our views but are failing.

Its time for a hardline stance to europe. No fishing policy, No farming policy, No treaty, No Euro currency, No vast money thrown down the EU toilet. A simple trade agreement would do us fine.

Because his handlers would never allow that to happen.

It's time we stopped kidding ourselves we live in anything like a democracy.

The middle class is being systematically destroyed, the 'political class' as they like to call themselves are feathering their own nests and trying to keep everyone else down.

It really is a recipe for disaster and if anyone finds a legal way of impeachment a grassroots movement to make that happen is the only way to save us from the slavery of the EU.

These people haven't even had their accounts signed off in 13 years. A company director would be in prison by now for that level of incompetence.

I cant understand why Brown chose to miss such an important event and decide to attend some commons committee or whatever 'important' event it was. This is yet another example of his inability to make the big decisions and see the long term results it will have for this country.

I also think that we should have a similar law as the Irish do whereby all such things are required to be taken to a referendum.

Yes RND. And also a law that prevents governments from going back on their promise to hold referenda is needed.
Treaty or constitution, call it what you like but Gordon Brown LIED to us and deserves to lose the next election to David Cameron.
