Only nursing children can get nutrition from milk.
For adults the calcium fats and vitamins are all unaccessable.
It is completely NON nutritious.
The 4% fat in milk does however get into the blood stream
and clogs things an deposits itself .
Some of it comes out of our pores making us smell of
off milk to non milk drinking people.
not nice is it.
better labeling please

The calcium in milk is very good for adolescent girls as it gives bone strength needed to prevent oestoporosis later in life. Some fat is also good for you. As in all these health and diet fads the exponants become fanatical. Health and diet are the new religion and some are gullible enough to believe every scare story they hear. Common sense will make you realise that worldwide diets vary enormously and are largely determined by the requirements of the climate. If people all over the world manage to be reasonably healthy with such differences in their diet, then diet can not affect health as much as we are constantly being told. Judging by the fact that we have almost the best life expectancy figures we must be doing something right. It was found that when people moved to large towns after the Industrial Revolution where the children didn't get enough milk or sunlight there was a big problem with ricketts. This is why milk was given to school children and it made a huge difference to their health. I suspect that many immigrants who do not have dairy products in their diet and are completely covered by their clothes will along with these food fadists have problems with ricketts and oestoporosis and that cases will once again be increasing in this country
Many things are not nice... Meat, white Bread, certainly the national symbol of fish and chips is way unhealthy,
So what. What is the point you wish to make? Do you want to ban or discourage milk consumption
Surely it is up to the individual. I like milk in my tea, coffee and with my wheaties and oats at breakfast which frankly would not be palatable without.
Also if one is travelling a long distance and becoming dehydrated a pint of milk is far more thirst quenching 5that say a Cocacola (Which itself is definitely not nice)
only for babies,toxic to adults.
people should be told its toxic.on the label.
1/2 a kilo of meat a week.is the limit any more
and its toxic .should be on the label.
alcohol ; is a solvent ,other solvents are methalated spirit,
petrol,m.e.k.,glue,butane,amyl nitrate, diesol, parafin, jet fuel, kerosene, the only difference is taste.all of these are the same, solvents. They all kill live tissue.they are stimulants, making you more active.
When you become drowsy/sleepy this is not the alcohol,
this is opium produced in the brain by freshly dead brain
cells.opium is a narcotic,it makes you sleepy and feel good, the opposite of a stimulant.
You have killed of enough brain cells to get a junkies fix in effect.(i was alcoholic for 4 yrs way back)
getting smashed is just that, you just smashed up some of your brain an an got a buzz out of it dieing.
should be on the label.
tobbacco since1960 in britan alone has killed 6.3 million
people should be on the label
all refined foods are toxic.on the label please.
So i guess im asking for better labeling.
jonjii thanks for pointing out my point.

Yes it is. In a form far purer than you would consume it and live. In aqueous solution it is merely a fuel which travels into the bloodstream where the liver oxidises it first to acetaldehyde and then to vinegar. The liver cell organelles referred to as the rough endoplasmic reticulum are I believe the main site where this happens but I am straining to recall by days as a biochemist in the 1970's here.

I think you're under the influence. The brain does not produce opium, a substance built as a benzene ring with a further ring of carbon atome with one nitrogen atom in the horizontal plane, and a further ring of similar form in the vertical plane leading off one of the carbons in the horizontal ring. The brain produces and reacts to endorphins, polypeptides (long chain amino acids connected by O=C-N-H "peptide bonds" with a 'residue' that can be quite complex itself. Now whether these 'endorphins' arrange themselves in a way that opium / morphine / heroin mimics I do not know. In my day we did not have the computers to do the modelling needed. And I do not think it a good idea to poke around google looking for such molecular structures, someone might get entirely the wrong idea.
Incidentally an alcoholic has far more of the oxidising enzymes in their liver compared to a non-alcoholic. That's why an alcoholic - as opposed to a drinker - can swig an entire bottle of scotch and not get drunk from it. A party trick I strive to avoid.
There are two references I have seen on this,
1) was about anerexia ,The natural pain suppressent was
opium produced by our own bodies.
2)was about the proccess that the brain passes through
toward death.
The final cascade when the brain cells have been starved
of oygen for to long they explode and produce opium, this
signals all surrounding cells to explode and produce opium.
ect.a casquade.
We also share DNA with opium poppies,
Our daily dose must be known somewhere.
I wonder how much dave runs on?
Why do I like cheese "mmm tasty"not good though.
and I avoid alcohol its nice but NASTY.
Plan "C" what to do if noone listens.I need to write
that on a piece of paper in case I am offline
when it happens.:)
only for babies,toxic to adults.
people should be told its toxic.on the label
Where do you get all this from physics, seems you think everything is bad for us. My grandparents drank pints of milk and ate cheese every day plus bowls of cream from the farm, they lived well into their nineties and were very fit so I wouldn't worry if I were you, If you like it eat it, the worry will cause you far more problems than the food. Every day there's a new health scare. Butter was the big danger at one time, no one told us that Van de Burgh had paid for the research. Last week folic acid, the stuff we were told was good, is now said to cause cancer. All these stories want to be taken with a huge pinch of salt if it wasn't bad for you. We are living longer than ever so what we eat cannot be bad, bet they don't have all this rubbish in the third world
You need to have a better look at what scientists are saying, and also listen to more scientists than the small group you have been listening to. You have been seriously misinformed!
Milk is not toxic. Most of us are perfectly capable of digesting it, though a few have problems such as lactose intolerance.
Milk does not come out of our pores! And the smell of "off milk" is caused by bacteria.
Milk is nutritious. However, it is not entirely good. There are two main proteins in milk: A1 and A2. A2 is healthy, A1 is unhealthy (though opinions vary on how unhealthy). I'll let you find more out about it yourself.
Ye gods! Why on earth was the human form made to produce MILK for its young if it's so b****y toxic?!!
Skimmed milk has hardly any fat, but loads more calcium than full cream milk. Milk is a necessity for life.
Where do these crazy ideas of toxicity in "normal" foodstuffs come from? I stopped letting the "fads" get to me when I heard that cornflakes can give you cancer. That was in the 70s and I haven't heard it since!
Oh, and Phys... Never before in human history have people lived for so long. Full stop.
I get it from scientists.
I assure you its all true.
Many scientists do their research paid for by companies since a certain lady stopped the government funding. For example all the anti butter research was paid for by Van de Burgh. We are bombarded with psuedo research, every day a new story. Much of this research reporting is selective. We were told to drink 2 litres of water a day this came from a report that said "we need 2 litres of water a day, much of which comes from the food we eat" the last nine words were left out of the media reporting. Most drugs companies pay millions for research into drugs which treat long term illnesses, they are not interested in cures or rare diseases as these don't have a large monetary return. Doctors are always telling us what could cause a disease but rarely mention genetics which is probably the biggest factor because they can do nothing about that and it makes them powerless. Slightly overweight people live longer than the thin, vegetarians die younger than meat eaters but the differences are very slight and nothing to worry about. Most of the latest foods which are said to be good, mostly fruit and vegtables, are grown far away and the companies put out these stories to sell their product and we fall for it. We live longer and healthier than ever. 90% of the world would love to be as well off and healthy as we are, so why don't we hear this on the media. Why can't we be happy about our luck? Why do we listen to these foolish food fadist who treat food and excercise like a religion with the same fanatism
I understand the point Phys is making about labels - only 9 packets of crisp takes you over the daily limit of fat intake even if they are fried in Sunseed oil (whatever that is!).
