James Brown flies between the UK and US up to twice a week and flies to Ireland to ride his horses.

Should a hairdresser to the glitterati be allowed to abuse the planet like this?

He should do whatever he wants to do - as long as its legal.

Also, James Brown does good hair. I can think of a few politicians who should give him a ring!

Not Hague surely.

I'm surprised at you canvas. You advocate no restraint, then, in saving the planet?

That made me smile - I'm sure William Hague would have found it funny as well. Yorker really does have a sense of humour. :)
I wonder if a cure for baldness will be available to all by the end of the century?

Yorker, if James Brown brings beauty to this world then he should be allowed to fly. He has paid his debt to society by promoting good hair.

William Hague must have SOME hair to cut - occasionally??
But I was thinking of that dreadful Warsi woman - she has BAD hair! She needs a make-over. :)

Looks matter - call me shallow - but it's true!

There'll be local hairdressers in NY just itching for a chance to outshine James Brown and promote even better hair. Your argument doesn't stand up canvas, when the planet's dying! Sorry....

I am on the hairdressers side. Let beauty prevail. James Brown is innocent.

Yorker, in general women tend to cultivate a relationship of trust with their hairdresser (ditto their GP). Most men don't and won't comprehend this - any old barber will do as long as the cut is under a tenner.

I can understand why very rich and famous females (and some males) prefer to have them flown over when so many around them sell stories to the press about their private lives.

The guy probably pencils in his clients in a two-three week period in US, then returns to Ireland. What's the difference between him and any other businessman?

Why the downer on how people spend their time and money?

He says he flies to NY and back up to twice a week. His carbon footprint must be enormous... just to satisfy a few female air-heads who have a "relationship" with their hairdresser???

The question is: can the planet afford people like this?

Blow the CO2 just think of the extra people in the queue in front of you if there are many like him and the noise of all those extra aircraft. Still I suppose I could be wrong as the chances are one or two of you won't be in the first class as he is.
Did anyone see the test they did on TV where people had to guess whether the hair was done by the big name or a total unknown. So much for their brilliance. Over half came off worse than the cheapo hairdressers with the mid price rated more consistently quite good. It showed we can't tell the difference between genius and crass stupidity unfortunately.

Well, you can always tell a James Brown haircut - in fact - Kate Moss is sporting a lovely new hair style thanks to our wee James.

It's a sad day when you blame a hairdresser for climate change. pppffffttttt. Go pick on the big guys.

By the way, Yorker, how's your barnet holding up? :)

A full head of hair, canvas, which doesn't need interference from James Brown.

Most other hairdressers don't leave a vast trail of pollution behind them. Anyway, who gives a 4* about Kate Moss's "lovely new hairstyle" except the trivia-obsessed media (and you it seems)?

Yorker - James Brown is a FREE SPIRIT !

And he will FLY!

And Kate will have continue to have GOOD HAIR!

And Yorker will be stuck in Grimsby - moaning about the weather and the YOOF of today! Munching on fish fingers and deep fried mars Bars...

By the way, Yorker, how do you feel about eating your way through the North Sea and depleting our fish population? Shameful. Disgraceful.

:) pppppppffffffffffffft

Just wondering Yorky
If we all switch off our computers - we would save enough carbon for James to go on his hairdressing trips without increasing the damage to the planet!

Yorky -
it gets even weirder!

The latest green nutter requirement is to ban fresh milk.
We've all got to use the heat treated long life stuff.
Refrigerating fresh milk to store it produces too much carbon.

Don't worry about flying - the big "No" "No" now is Dairy Farming and the pint in the fridge!

Anything it seems to prevent Brown from having to tell the voters the truth about the working of the Renewables Obligation which we pay for.

Canvas, you mean the planet is doomed just so a hairdresser can give Kate Moss a thru-the-hedge-backwards look?

Well, you can't have James Brown and fresh milk. You love choices - here's one. Me, I'd go for UHT every time and put a dash of something in it to help it go down.

You obviously have no idea how this look is achieved. It takes great skill and great knowledge to achieve this effortless look.

I demand a knighthood for James Brown. I would like to see the Queen go Boho...perhaps?

I'm used to politicians snatching milk - so I'll stick to soy.

Of course I do. There's no skill needed. You just take Kate by the ankles and drag her through the hedge.

Yorker - you obviously don't get it. LoL :)

Nothing comes between a woman and her hairdresser - not even climate change.

Yorker, you shouldn't be tagging the hairdresser as 'mad' - you could be sued. Don't think £2K will cover this one.
