Hi Joe welcome mad house... if Canvas is right in what you mean, only DC. COULD TELL YOU non of us were there...but I heard him when questioned about it, and he stood by his comment. If DC. say's so it must be right Joe, ay.. Yorker?
well he comes from a posh school so kingswood will look bad to him, anita harrison is actually a very nice lady but yes dc would be best avoiding her in the future lol.
If you have seen the change kingswood has undergone in the last 6 years turning from one of the worst schools to one of the best, you would have a different opinion on mr camerons "view" of kingswood.
see us under "in depth" then click on hull
Joe, I'll do some research on this - later tonight - and I'll get back to you.
I know 'it's all relative' - and 'some things are subjective' - but facts are facts. I guess we need to look at the facts - and not get too sentimental about this issue.
How would you feel, if, after serious research, it turned out your school did suck - compared to most other schools in the country? I'm not saying this is true - just how would you feel? Sad? Maybe DC knows more about this issue than we do - and maybe DC feels sad too - because he thinks you deserve better...
Hey, Anita is not related to John Prescott by any chance- is she?! :)
He diddnt name the school, but were the school he meant, mr percy the man who organised his visit, has resigned, another clue it is our school, and dc said about the boy who was pissed, at our school
Its not so much a question, more slander than anything.
but i hold nothing agains mr cameron, just im sure the 30+ people in the class would like an explanation

Then from mr percys blog (mr percy used to teach at kingswood but has now resigned as tory candidate)
http://andypercy.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html There is more, but i will have to find it
thankyou canvas, thats all i want to know, not that kingswood sucks, but want to know exactly what was supposed to have happened with the pupil in question
Joe, those links unfortunately don't tell us much. What has the local press been saying? Do pupils have a representative on the governing board? What does the parent governor say? What do the minutes of the last couple of meetings say? You and your schoolfriends may be able to get access to this inside info. I think you have to do a bit of detective work yourselves, especially if there have benn attempts to cover up. Your parents could be asking questions
You've got 3 Labour MPs covering Hull who might be willing to dig for the truth: which is yours?
Who is your city councillor?
Which councillor holds the education portfolio?
Your parents should be questioning them.
OK Joe, good going! Have you sounded out other members of the school council? How do they feel? Instead of waiting for it to be mentioned you may have to ask, but it's a good idea to have some support. Next council meeting soon?
Joe, have you watched these videos on Webcameron and have you read DC's comments? Is this your school? Click on the link.

I'm at a recovering school serving a pretty tough housing estate on the outskirts of the city. A few years ago this school had one of the lowest GCSE pass rates in the country – now it's above the national average with 62 per cent getting 5 A-Cs at GCSE. But when you look at the percentage getting these grades in core subjects like English and maths, the percentage falls to 7%.
The day starts badly, for me at least. Helping register a class of 13 year olds, no-one – and I mean literally no one – has even heard of the Conservative Party. Using “hangman” on the smart new interactive whiteboard we get to “Conser_ati_e party” before any one gets it. As the point of me being here is to observe and to learn – and not get the usual “here's a visiting politician” treatment - maybe this is a good thing.
I'm not the only one with a bad start to the day. I meet a 16 year old boy loitering outside the hall where he's supposed to be sitting an important GCSE and he tells me he feels rotten - “got pissed last night” - and isn't looking forward to the exam. A timely reminder that improving schools is as much a matter for parents as it is for teachers.
David Cameron stood by a story he told about a disruptive pupil attacking a teacher amid claims from school governors that it never happened.
The Tory leader recounted the tale in his speech to his party's conference last week in a bid to highlight the need to give headteachers more powers to enforce discipline.
He told party members: "I went and taught in a school for a couple of days in the North of England and one teacher said to me 'there is only three words that you have got to focus on', and not the ones you might expect, 'behaviour, behaviour, behaviour'."
He continued: "I stopped a boy as he was running into his GCSE exam and I said 'What's the problem?' and he said 'Well, I got completely ****** last night, I've got a hangover and I'm going to flunk this exam'.
"And I asked a teacher about him and I was told well he'd attacked a teacher before and he trashed a classroom and none of us know why he's still in this school.
"So why do we allow this to happen, why don't we intervene earlier? Take the children out that are causing so much trouble, try and turn their lives around."

Tackled over his account on BBC1's Andrew Marr Show, the Opposition leader insisted: "Well it did happen. I was standing in a corridor outside the examination room; I spoke to this boy; I spoke to someone who had taught at this school afterwards; and what I said to the conference is absolutely how it happened."
Mr Cameron was defended by another governor, Coun Andrew Percy, a former history teacher at the school who accompanied Mr Cameron on the visit.
"No governors have any idea at all what goes on in a school in terms of pupil behaviour, they are only there once a month," he said.
"The best thing is for people not to comment. I was there at the time, I know that conversation took place but beyond that I'm not going to say anything that would identify a particular pupil."
He added: "It's ridiculous that a very serious point David was making is being overshadowed by a rather silly argument."

It came as he shadowed supply teacher - and Tory candidate - Andrew Percy at Kingswood College of Arts in Bransholme, Hull, in the constituency of Labour MP Diana Johnson.
Phil Robinson, 16, one of the pupils who met Mr Cameron, said: "Anyone who hit a teacher or trashed a classroom would have been expelled."
Andrew Percy, a Conservative who organised the visit, confirmed Kingswood was the school involved and added: "It may be the incidents happened some time ago, but David's point is valid."
Joe, I am wondering - could this be Labour smear, sorry, I mean, spin?
Tell me, what exactly should David Cameron apologise for? Have you contacted Andrew Percy for clarification?

Quote from Andrew Percy: I just wish the press had reported David Cameron's words when he was asked what he thought of the pupils at Kingswood. "Fantastic" was his response and I have to agree, they did us proud.
Sorry to bug you about this, but extra long links are becoming a real nuisance on this site because they force the page to extend out to the right making it difficult to read without having to resort to the horizontal scroll bar.
To stop this happening is easy...
1) Copy your link location.
2) Type: [ url=
(Without the space after the [ )
3) Paste in your link location after the = sign with no spaces.
4) Type: ] Link Here [ /url ]
(Again without the spaces next to the ] and [ )
This will create an embedded link with the words "Link Here" highlighted and make life much easier for everyone.
graham, im registered on many forums, mainly 9/11 truth forums such as loose change and others, but this is the first forum that i have actually seen people concerned about the size of links, it is pathetic, this forum is different to loose change so im just getting used to it, but when i get the hang of it i promise i will do your embeded link thingy lol.
for those of you interested in 9/11 truth, see the loose change forum, im joe911 here also
http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php
and how many people actually look into them, i want mr cameron to personally wach some of the truth movies then maybe the goverment can do something usefull for a change and give the victims and heros of 9/11 a proper comission report that answeres the question that bush and his goons refuse to.
Look at these unanswred questions, this is just the tip of the iceberg!!
