Top salaried professionals, company directors and business owners, who often live in the most exclusive homes, are falling victim to identity thieves. They are almost four times more likely to become victims than the average UK resident - but everyone is at risk. Cifas, the fraud prevention service, says it recorded 21,122 cases of identity fraud during the first quarter of this year, an increase of 12 per cent over the same period last year.

One third of workers do their jobs outside those standard hours, according to a survey by the Centre for Economics and Business Research.
