Missing Out

Posted by Lizabeth on Monday, 29 January 2007 21:02:00

Reading all the webcameron blogs I decided to do a little ‘research' locally

It seems there are some really disadvantaged groups out there and I have found a few more

Over 40, actively seeking work

Households where there are no children

Minimum waged, working unsocial hours and needing own transport as there are not and never can be public transport in these areas.

These are the people who will really suffer with all the proposed tax increases

There will always be some who slip through the net but. I do not think the above should have been missed.

On the other hand I have heard of at least two households where in each only two people were living there and each one was receiving care allowance for the other!

Needless to say I was not given any specific detail. but any such instances should be easy to find with all details now on computer.

Sorry but I had to write this.

Thank you for that comment. coolcatmillie. I am sure you are correct. Guess the people who mentioned it did not realise the situation could be one allowance for a carer and the other receiving a disability allowance. LIizabeth
