David, don't forget the balanced view

David.

I have now read everything posted on your site and must ,after initial sceptiscm, now must admit that it is good. Its strength, I feel, lies in giving ordinary people an opportunty to express their views on issues important to them and which could affect their quality of life.

It appears that Health Care and Education are the greatest concerns for many potential voters whilst both Government and your party have expressed concerns that global warming is the most important

Whatever the issue all voters require from any political party is that a balanced view is always taken; that we are given the truth, not someone's interpretation of it.

Bearing that in mind, I see Tonybee and Goldsmith as part of your recruitment campaign that will eventually include expertise from''both sides' and the views of the main players, the voters. (There are still many people who do not have a computer or net access and thus can not participate in webcameron).

If I may return to the subject I am most familiar with; renewable enrgy in general and onshore wind in particular. Oft cited statistics and half truths are as unacceptable as they are undemocratic.

Looking for sponsorship to raise money for the British Heart Foundation by climbing. Mount Kinabalu in Borneo I was told by a representative of Npower, that day representing British Wind Energy Association (BWEA)

"We would sponsor you if you were not coming back as you have caused us enough trouble" I had no wish then nor have none now to cause anyone any trouble and am simply asking for the truth. Are wind turbines saving the carbon dioxide emissions promised?

I refer to one statement on the BWEA website "The closer people live to a wind farm the more supportive they are". Evidence from Satley ,County Durham refutes this." (www.wind-farm.co.uk)

Iin addition 15 of the wind power station apppications (wind farms) refused in the UK in 2006 went to Public Iinquiry as the Developers appealed. 5 were upheld but 10 were dismissed Does this suggest support for wind turbines, now uauually over 100metres to tip and now often closer to people than previously..

One of those dismissed is now considering asking for a juducial review..the following details are from An International website.

Mynydd-y-Gwrhyd Planning Inspector's Report 28/09/ 2006 by David Sheers, Planning Inspector

This is the report submitted by the Planning Inspector appointed by the National Assembly for Wales that dismisses the appeal by the Awe Amman Tawe quango for a wind farm on Mynydd-y-Gwrhyd. Of particular interest are the Inspector's remarks on Landscape and Visual Impact (paragraphs 16-20 on pages 5-6) with respect to how 'developers photomontages' do not give the true visual impact of actual wind farm sites.

This Welsh application, governed by Tan 8 is a case study in the PPS22 Companion guide.

Pleaase continue to allow people to post issues which might otherwise not see the light of day and if/when you gain power please remember you are there to represent the views of the voters who elected you .
