How Ask David works
Ask David a question
To ask David a question you must be a registered member of Webcameron, you can register by clicking here.
Once signed in you will need to write a blog post, click here to write one now.
There are a few things to consider when asking your question, make sure your question appears clearly in the "title" box on the write page, something like this would be ideal: "Question for David: How long is a piece of string?"
Then write your question within the main text area on the write page. Give the question some tags, if you have already added a video, image or an audio file to your account you may add this to your question, you could even submit your question via video!
Once you have tagged your post and chosen some categories for it, you will need to submit it by clicking on the publish button at the bottom of the write blog post page. Your blog post (question) will then be submitted to a moderation queue once approved it will appear in the "Open Blog" section of Webcameron.
Users will then be able to vote for your post, once the voting period has commenced the top 5 posts as voted by the users will be answered by David.
Voting for a post
In order to vote for a post to be responded to by David you must be a registered member of Webcameron, click here to register. Once you are signed in you will see a green icon below each post, and if you'd like to see David to respond to a particular post, just click on the green icon to vote for it.
You can only vote on a post once. Once you have voted you will notice the icon will turn grey, this means they are no longer active, either because you are not signed in or you have already rated the post.
We have become aware that some users are registering multiple identities to push their own posts up the rankings. This is unfair on the other users, so we will be logging IP addresses and discounting duplicate votes to ensure this does not have a negative impact on the site.
 David’s Response
At the end of each voting period, the top 5 posts as voted for by the users will be put forward for David to respond to. Each weeks response will automatically go into a weekly archive. You can also subscribe to the Ask David RSS Feed, where you can keep track of David’s responses.
